About force without ‘force’ . . .

We saw in ‘Motion without movement’ a hand providing the ‘push’ to change the ratios to accelerate the ball, however, I have been careful not to use the word ‘force’ in this context.

The push is just the application of mechanical energy that changes the curvature of the space around the ball by increasing the energy intensity and the ratio of the rate of contraction to the rate of expansion of the toroidinos in the region where the energy is applied. In contrast, on the other side of the ball, the lower energy intensity and the higher ratio of the rate of expansion to the rate of contraction of the toroidinos creates a region where the space is flatter, as shown below.

In other words, ‘force’ can be interpreted as the application of energy to change the curvature of space.

In more general terms, sources of energy are nothing more than intensifications of toroidinos, which create a gradient that manifests instantly throughout the universe. The effects of the gradient originate from the source and spread throughout the universe at the speed of light, as does light itself. The intensifications of toroidinos, the energy source, is shown as the reddish ball in About energy gradients with the blue net meant to represent space and the increased curvature of space due to the energy source.

The energy and consequently the curvature and the gradient, represented by the red line graph, all drop off exponentially to asymptotically approach zero. I reiterate that the concentration of toroidinos, that is the energy source, is intrinsic to space and it is the variation in energy that alters the curvature of space to interact with bodies to give the impression of a force being applied.

Another way to look at this process is that the gradient creates an environment conducive to the origination of toroidinos along the path towards which the energy of the push is directed.

Bearing in mind that dynamic patterns have no mass in the sense that the word ‘mass’ denotes substantial matter and that it is the curvature of space that determines the mass of an object and how it behaves, we will move on to the explanation of how inertia and momentum manifest in an environment of motion without movement.

However, rather than invent a new word, we will continue to use the word ‘mass’ in the sense that it is the curvature of space that engenders inertia, that is the resistance a stationary object offers to motion or momentum, the resistance a moving object offers to changes in its motion.

KEY IDEAS

  • ‘Force’ is just the application of mechanical energy that changes the local curvature of space, causing objects to ‘move’. The resulting ‘motion’ apparently being due to the application of a force rather than to the curvature of space.

  • In short, ‘force’ can be interpreted as the application of energy to change the curvature of space.

  • Sources of energy are nothing more than intensifications of toroidinos, which create a gradient that manifests instantly throughout the universe.

  • The effects of the gradient originate from the source and spread throughout the universe at the speed of light, as does light itself.

Space is real and substantial and changing incessantly. Things are patterns of space which retain their identity because the patterns persist.
